So who is this retreat for? Anyone who is looking to create more balance in their life. Anyone who wants more energy and less stress. Anyone who wants to live life in a meaningful way and to touch deeper levels. To join in, you don’t need to have a regular practice or even be fit…but you might be curious as to how to create more flow in your life, to connect to your intuition, to hear your body’s innate wisdom beyond its temporary wants and needs.

The practice combines two ancient traditions: Yoga and Qi Gong. Qi Gong, an energy healing art originating from China, explores human potential through activating and utilizing subtle energy. Like Yoga, Qi Gong uses movement, breath and meditation. Both practices work with our internal life force energy, called Qi in Qi Gong and Prana in Yoga. Both practices take us on an inward journey in search of Higher Truth. Even though they share the same intention, each operates somewhat differently to cultivate the body’s life force energy. In Yoga, we stretch to release tension and free up stagnant energy. Yoga asanas offer linear extension, working directly on the physical structure. In Qi Gong, flowing and circular movements are used, first to connect to and then to direct with our intention the flow of Qi, working directly with the energy body. This practice is not defined by physical fitness or flexibility, as Gong literally means skill in working with energy (Qi).

When both practices are combined, the synergy creates a strong yet flexible container for life force energy to move through and give us practical tools to co-create the life we desire.
