Aeroplate is a new app that allows flyers to review their food experiences from both airports and aeroplanes. The collaboration between Australian companies C3 and Studio Two is aiming to shake up the airline catering industry.

Aeroplate has both a website and a mobile app, which is available on iOS and Android devices. The review platform doesn’t require an internet connection when using the app, and includes functionality for uploading photos of flyers’ food experiences, as well as writing text reviews. App users are also able to engage with other reviews using the app, even if they’re in the air without an internet connection. The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The website complements the app offering, giving reviewers another option if they prefer not to use the mobile app. Reviewers can post a review straight on the website, get featured on the home page, and use emojis to rate other people’s reviews.

Aeroplate collects reviews from more than 100 top airlines, 318 frequent flyer programmes and more than 2,000 airports. As well as inviting passengers to review their culinary experiences in airports and on planes, Aeroplate actively encourages crew members to leave reviews for their meals. As the most important people on the plane, flight crew should also get to have their say on the quality of meals that they receive.

Frequent flyers have the chance to grow a trophy collection as they review food regularly. The top performing reviewers are offering rewards and even have the chance to be selected for invitation-only airline tasting sessions.

Airline food is an essential aspect of flying that many people want to take into account when booking a flight. It’s especially important for long-haul flights, when passengers might be served several meals before they land at their destination. The Aeroplate app makes it possible for them to check which airlines have the best reputations for quality food.

The review app is also useful for airlines and airports. Reviews from both passengers and crew members can give them insight into how people truly feel about the food that they serve. Customer and staff feedback can be difficult to collect, especially on specific topics. Aeroplate can provide insight for airlines and for inflight catering companies looking for honest feedback about the food that they offer.

The Aeroplate app is growing and building a community of flyers and flight crew who are passionate about inflight food. It helps them discover the best airlines and airport lounges for food around the world.
