Sethi Financial Group Hires Alan L. Anderson as Chief Petroleum Geologist

DALLAS, TX / ACCESSWIRE / March 11, 2015 / Sethi Petroleum a subsidiary of Sethi Financial Group welcomes Alan L. Anderson as its Chief Petroleum Geologist. Anderson will serve as an integral part of the geology and engineering team where he will be responsible for analyzing all international and domestic projects for our clients. He will facilitate project approval based on several factors including its geologic, geographic, and economic merit.

Anderson brings more than 40 years of oil and gas experience to Sethi Financial Group and its subsidiaries. He graduated from the University of Texas with a Master’s of Science in Petroleum Geology and began his career as a ConocoPhillips recruit where he was cross-trained in Petroleum Engineering. He spent 20 years as an exploration petroleum geologist with their International division and later went on to become the Senior Geologist and Vice President of the MidCon Division. He has managed several global oil and gas recovery projects in upstream exploration and production (E&P). He went on to receive his Doctorate in Geology in conjunction with the ConocoPhillips petroleum engineering program.

Later, Anderson formed Energy Consultants L.P., a private company offering worldwide consultative services in the oil and gas industry. He managed petroleum projects that involved both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Over the next 18 years, his company held contracts spanning 33 mainland states as well as Alaska and 24 foreign countries.
