iProven Announces Fl 50 Ovulation Home Test Strips
September 26, 2019 – – Home medical care company iProven has announced new Ovulation Test Strips to test for fertility. Rather than being fertile all the time, the body is only able to become pregnant from intercourse had during a few days of the menstrual cycle. These days are the days leading up to and including the day that ovulation occurs. If the egg does not meet up with a sperm after being released into the uterus, it is discarded as a part of the menstruation process. If a sperm enters the uterus too soon, it will die before ovulation and never get the chance to come in contact with an egg. Thus, there is a small window when pregnancy can occur. On average, this window is around four days. When a person wants (or wants to avoid) a baby, knowing when these days are is incredibly useful information.
Among many methods for determining when these days are is testing urine for luteinizing hormone, or LH. Luteinizing hormone has a variety of purposes in different bodies depending on gender and age. For women of childbearing age, luteinizing hormone prompts ovulation, meaning that, in the days when ovulation is about to occur and is occurring, the levels of LH in the blood and urine are rapidly increasing. The iProven FL-50 test strips are 99% accurate at determining luteinizing hormone levels in a similar way to the standard pregnancy test. To use the test, the user must collect some urine in a clean and dry container, dip the testing end of the test strip into the urine for a few seconds, and then wait for 3-5 minutes for results to appear. This set of instructions is known as a collect – dip – see procedure.
When the test has finished developing and the results are displayed, there will be a control line to show that the test has worked. There may also be a second line, indicating that the body’s luteinizing hormone levels are above a certain level. This does not necessarily mean that the test taker is ovulating. Rather, iProven recommends testing twice a day at consistent times and watching the second line for changes. Every body is different, so some people have a second line, indicating elevated LH levels, always and not just during ovulation. However, the intensity of the second line increases as LH levels increase in preparation for ovulation. Others only ever see a faint second line when they are approaching ovulation. Regardless, regular testing with LH Strips and watching for changes in the result lines can allow a woman to be more in tune with the cycles of her body, to know when she’s ovulating, and thus to know when the optimal time for intercourse is to have or avoid having a baby.
The LH test strip fertility kit sold by iProven comes with 50 test strips, enough to allow for plenty of testing over multiple cycles, and also contains 2 free hCG test strips for testing for pregnancy. The result of the hCG test strips is 99% accurate at predicting pregnancy when used on the first day of the expected next period. These strips follow a similar testing strategy to the LH test strips, and will show one line for no pregnancy, two lines for a pregnancy.
iProven is excited to add home LH testing strips to their line of home health care products, which include a variety of thermometers, blood pressure meters, and other body tracking devices. They are dedicated to providing the best quality products to help their customers have good health, and reviews on the company website are generally positive. One reviewer, Megan, says, “After 3 years of infertility these ovulation tests are the only ones to actually detect my LH surge. They give very detailed directions on how and when to test and the reasoning behind this. I am so grateful for these tests and you really get a lot of strips for a great value. It also comes with 2 pregnancy tests which is great because everything you need is in one box.”
Anyone looking to have a baby or have a better idea of how to not have a baby can have their goals assisted by iProven’s new ovulation test strips.
