The third Blockchain Leadership Summit, the globally-recognized industry event coming from Switzerland, will take place at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, from November 19 to 21. With this design, it is nearly impossible to modify the data in any given block, making it a highly secure and immutable form of data and transaction management. The technology has many applications in finance and government as a result.

Speakers at the summit will share their practical experiences of blockchain implementation in private and public sectors. The speakers include Dr. Lluisa Marsal Llacuna of Spain’s Catalan Institute of Energy, Jan Schoenig, Director Digital Cities and Infrastructure at Siemens AG, Wilfried Pimenta de Miranda, who serves as Business Development Director at Norway’s IOTΛ Foundation and Pietro Lanza, General Manager Intesa and Blockchain Leader at IBM Italia.

Industries covered by the summit include healthcare, insurance, automotive, banking, trading and finance, logistics and supply chain, media and marketin as well as IP rights and more. The summit will touch on such technologies as AI, IoT, Machine Learning (ML), Cyber Security, Big Data and so forth.
