Dale Power Solutions Advises Companies to Act Quickly to Apply For ALoMCP as Funding is Limited

Dale Power Solutions is encouraging businesses to make the most of government funding to exchange old G59 chips for G99 chips in their generators according to a law change. This change to the law affects the way energy generation sites are disconnected from the grid during grid disturbances to allow for the greater number of renewable energy sources now connected to the grid. The aim of ALoMCP is to reduce the risk of tripping and the resulting grid failure, causing blackouts. The new law will come into force in September 2022.

Any form of generator connected to the grid, including gensets and renewables, which were commissioned before February 2018, and either VS relays or RoCOF complying to G59, must be made to conform with G99 relays.

Dale Power Solutions is ENA approved and can carry out the changes required by their client’s specific assets to conform with the new legislation. Payments of up to £4,000 per asset are available, paid by the National Grid; however, this government funding is available for a limited time only.
