BRAC Projects has completed a series of refurbishments to completely transform the Newhaven Ferry Terminal. Prior to this project, the terminal was seen as outdated and uncomfortable. The team at BRAC Projects worked around the clock to upgrade the facility and make it far more modern.
By working alongside the building contractors, ferry owners, port owners, and custom teams, BRAC Projects managed to identify all of the key needs for the ferry terminal. They quickly realised there was a clear need for updated furniture throughout the facility, along with vastly improved reception desks, washrooms, surrounding columns, and much more. It’s taken Newhaven Ferry Terminal from a dated place to one that fits in with modern aesthetics. As a result, the comfort for customers and staff members was enhanced.
The team also understood the importance to combine aesthetic appeal with functionality. After all, a ferry terminal sees a lot of regular business. There are customers coming and going all the time, and the facilities needed to be improved to accommodate all of this traffic. BRAC Projects used all of their experience to design a more spacious terminal that allowed for a continuous flow of foot traffic. They implemented specialised cubicles that tackled the environmental issues of being situated right next to the sea. As well as being stylish, these cubicles are designed to withstand adverse weather conditions and provide staff members with added safety.
Newhaven Ferry Terminal is one of the busiest shipping channels in the world. Thousands of customers use this crossing every week. Before these renovations, the terminal struggled to maintain high standards and provide a good experience for every single customer. It simply wasn’t equipped or designed to deal with this much action all the time. Through the help of BRAC Projects, this will change almost immediately. The first phase of the refurbishment is complete, and the following two phases are ready to go ahead. The next two phases will focus on the staff areas and customs desks. By carefully providing excellent solutions, BRAC Projects hopes this will improve the productivity and efficiency of the terminal, leading to a far better experience for everyone involved.
As a company, BRAC Projects has over 40 years of experience within fabrication, providing turnkey design, furniture fabrication, and installation services. Their line of work covers a diverse range of services within the following sectors; Commercial offices, educational establishments/schools, health care facilities, hospitals, leisure facilities, and Public Sector buildings.
