In April of 2012, Susan and her brother, Dr. Jerry Buss, the late owner of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, were both diagnosed with cancer. Susan was diagnosed with breast cancer and Dr. Buss with abdominal cancer.

Susan treated herself with an Indian herbal formula and her brother chose traditional medical treatment. The book tells of the two very different paths of treatment that were taken and reveals their outcomes.

Hall was able to heal herself without a doctor and at a very low cost. In the book Susan tells the story of the simple solution that led to being cancer-free in one year.
