Ethan Donati: How He Went From “Too Shy For Kindergarten” To International Speaker

At just 3 years old, Ethan Donati was kicked out of kindergarten for being "too shy." In fact he suffered from crippling social anxiety for almost 23 years.

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 1, 2020 / Today, most people find it hard to believe that international speaker and business owner, Ethan Donati struggled with social anxiety for almost all of his life. This prevented him from socializing, starting a conversation with friends or family, and it was a contributing factor to failing his first year of university. Despite this, Ethan decided to face his biggest weakness head on and become the influential public speaker that he is today.

Ethan Donati knew early on that his anxiety had often forced him to settle and underachieve. In his first year of university, he failed the majority of his classes. He took a year off, had time to think about what he actually wanted and realized that as humans we don't live forever. He didn't want to let anxiety ruin his enjoyment of life any longer nor determine his success. Ethan thought about the possibility of not only overcoming his anxiety but also helping others overcome theirs at the same time.

"I knew that if I was able to achieve what I set out to do, that I could set an example for others that suffer from social anxiety and others that maybe didn't have the right support or guidance during school/university but knew that they were destined for something greater than the path laid out for them. I wanted to help the person I was 5 years ago," Ethan explains.

He would later in life realize that he related very well with entrepreneurs – people who are often misinterpreted for their vision, boldness, and risk-taking behavior. Entrepreneurs are also the same people who are often told that they will fail later in life, the exact same experience that Ethan Donati had while growing up. Initially, due to his aversion for social interaction and in an attempt to avoid the need for a physical job where he would need to socialize with people, he learned a digital skillset and established a digital marketing company known as My Million Dollar Funnels.

Less than a year later, Ethan Donati was a university student building million-dollar advertising campaigns and helping businesses around the world monetize their messages. As his company grew, Ethan found himself starting to speak to audiences of thousands of people, teaching business owners what it takes to establish a seven-figure funnel. He has had the privilege of sharing a stage with Gary Vaynerchuk and Janine Allis. Interestingly, at just the age of 22 years old he also got invited to teach at the same university that previously saw him as a failing student (The University Of Melbourne).

However, Ethan quickly realized that only running a digital marketing company was too easy. He wasn't able to have the impact that he wanted to have which was to fight his fear head on and more importantly be an inspiration for those also suffering social anxiety. A year after starting his digital marketing company, Ethan became an international speaker. Not only that but his whole business now revolved around seminars. In 2019 he travelled the world hosting his own events, sometimes speaking up to 8 hours a day to a room full of strangers and created ‘Sold Out Seminars'.

Today, Ethan has taken his seminars online, hosting two live events per week educating and helping other entrepreneurs make their own highly profitable seminars too. He and his company have set out to also create a promising path for many new entrepreneurs trying to get started. Ethan is also one of the few who specialize in neuromarketing, a commercial marketing communication field that applies neuropsychology to marketing research, studying consumers' sensorimotor, affective, and cognitive response to marketing stimuli.

Ethan Donati is all about helping entrepreneurs scale their businesses, inspiring others to overcome their greatest fears, and creating modern day speakers all over the world. He is a living testimony that good things truly do come out of difficult life experiences and in his TEDx talk explains that our greatest perceived weakness can actually be what propels us to the top.
