This program, more specifically called Credit Abuse Resistance Education Program is a court outreach program aimed at students and young adults to teach them responsible and smart financing decisions.
Mark Miller has been a part of this program ever since it was introduced in 2005, modeled after the original CARE Program started by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court – Western District of New York. Mr. Miller is one of the volunteers presenting real-life examples of difficult financial decisions including handling credit cards, building up a credit score, student loans, and more. The last CARE Program in San Diego was held in early 2020, in the Sweetwater School District, but has been on hiatus due to the pandemic. However, with the situation stabilizing across the country, Mr. Miller expects to see the program back in action this year.
