Sacramento, United States – September 22, 2021

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at Sacramento Ultrasound Institute (SUI) is glad to announce that they have finally received the CAAHEP accreditation. The institute specializing in allied health programs celebrated this new achievement given to them by the board at CAAHEP on 17th September, 2021.

“CAAHEP accreditation is the biggest milestone for any sonography program to achieve. And we are proud to have accomplished this landmark. Thanks to our dedicated staff and instructors for their long hours of service to our institute”, says Samuel Yarmagyan, Chief Operating Officer of Sacramento Ultrasound Institute.

The purpose of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Is to discover quality. As the board reviews each program and profession’s standards and quality, they assure every student finds success in their chosen healthcare field. Through the CAAHEP accreditation, the students at SUI can rest assured that they will receive the educational foundation necessary to begin a successful career in many allied health professions.

“When you attend a CAAHEP accredited program, you are attending a program that has undergone a rigorous process that evaluates educational quality. It’s not easy to become or remain an accredited program. It’s why there are only 12 accredited programs within California. It is an honor to have our sonography program accredited by one of the largest specialized accrediting bodies, that has reviewed and accredited more than 2,200 education programs”, says Malvina Good, Program Director of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.

Through the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program, each student receives eight hundred eighty hours of didactic and laboratory training and eight hundred hours of clinical education, allowing them to relate the lecture matters to everyday use. The institute has designed the curriculum to provide students with the technical, clinical, and interpersonal skills essential to succeed in this field. Students receive hands-on experience in nearby hospitals and healthcare facilities as a part of the program.

Sacramento Ultrasound Institute believes in offering each student a chance to study and work in an atmosphere where excellence and efficiency triumph. Through dedication and applying positive change, the institute continues to produce erudite graduates in the medical field.
