TruckStop Vampires and George Lynch Deliver BIG with Roadhouse Blues

If you haven’t heard of TruckStop Vampires, it’s time you did. They are one of hard rock music’s newest and most exciting bands. The name alone just says Rock and Roll. They have a new single out, a remake of the Door’s “Roadhouse Blues” just released that is tearing up streaming platforms in its first week. TruckStop Vampires’ cover of the Door’s original would make Jim Morrison rock out like he never did before. This rendition features the legendary guitarist George Lynch, one of rock music’s top 50 guitarists of all time and ranked in the top 10 metal guitarists of all time. About the Band. TruckStop Vampires is:
Gary Dvorkin, the principle songwriter and arranger of the band. Gary has toured and recorded throughout the country with the likes of Jimmy Van Zant and David Hlubeck of Molly Hatchet. He has written, performed and produced very successful tracks with a multitude of Grammy award winning musicians and producer’s. Gary is very low profile so that’s enough about him!
On drums is Ulises Negrete, the south American drum phenom who’ s music took the country by storm in the early 90’s and is the anchor of TruckStop Vampires. Negrete has toured the world for over 25 years playing drums and he is a most lovable character who always brings a smile to your face. While living in Cancun he played with some of the premier bands in Brazil and you can hear hints of latin rhythm is his playing. Ulises drum style is like no other, a mix of hard rock and influences from all over the world make him the one of a kind player that he is. Years ago Gary and Ulises became friends and soon they started playing together. They clicked right away and Gary credits Ulises for giving him the “want to” to continue to make and record new music.
Barry Meehan the Philadelphia bass playing legend is the bottom end of the ensemble. Credited in such projects as: King Britt Presents and Sister Gertrude Morgan (Ropeadope), Barry has also recorded many titles out of Philadelphia on the 1Krecordings label. With the Vampires, Meehan reveals his primal hard rock origins. Barry is very excited to be a part of TruckStop Vampires and looks forward to the band’s future as a force that rocks!
ON VOCALS !!! TruckStop Vampires is unique in their approach with vocalists. They have multiple vocalist’s who are each featured in what the band feels is “appropriate” for the material being recorded. The band is very much a production company in this respect fitting the Vocalist to the song in order to serve the material most fittingly. (a nightmare for a record company and their marketing team but a wonderful model if you are looking to create the best music you can !!)
From “ Shadows” the beautiful and heartfelt song that question’s (why nothing ever seems to turn out right) sung by B D Milo to ESAD a hard rock track tome that will pump you up and make you want to bang your head til it bleeds which is performed by:
“The Christopher Sherman”. Sherman also does the Vocal’s presentation on Roadhouse Blues !! (which is just amazing …. go listen ! ) Sherman is the Rock Persona of TruckStop Vampires. A veteran of the New Jersey music scene (Bonjovi, Skid Row, Cinderella as the heritage continue’s) Chris has been mesmerizing fans up and down the east coast for years. (Having opened for Skid Row, Black Label Society, Ratt, Winger, Living Color) Known for his vocal range and committed delivery, Chris excites fans with the sheer power of his performance. You never quite know where Chris will drive the song on any date … but you do know it will be driven, exciting and electric. TruckStop Vampires has been one of my favorite bands ever since they released “Really” in 2021, a tale about addiction that makes the listener think deeply about the “situation” but rocks all the same as the story is told, what an amazing song and video …. This band has captured lightning in a bottle with their classic rock meets 90s grunge approach, which equals nasty rock and roll. With a new EPs coming soon I can guarantee each song is Fn killer. Artist’s that have performed and will be featured on this record, just to drop a few names are: Liberty Devitto, of Billy Joel’s Band, George Lynch, Big Chris Flores (Bones, Thugs and Harmonies, Slash) BD Milo, Sarah Kane and Philadelphia’s Lady Alma. My Advise: Don’t sleep on TruckStop Vampires they are for real and one of the most provocative band s to have emerged in a long, long time. As Ulises is often heard saying, “Music is not dead, it just lives in the night!”
