Golden State Workers’ Compensation Launches a Scholarship for African American Single Mothers
Oakland, CA, United States – August 10, 2022 —
Golden State Workers Compensation has announced a scholarship program in the amount of $2,000 to be awarded to a single African American mother attending a university in the year 2022. In order to be eligible for the program, applicants are required to be enrolled or accepted at a graduate school, university or community college during the 2022-2023 academic year.
Single African American mothers who wish to apply are required to be in good academic standing with their current educational institution, and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. To be considered for the program, students must compose an essay of 600+ words on the following subject: How Will Higher Education Increase The Quality Of Life For You And Your Child(ren)? The deadline for the application is before 5:00 PM on December 15th, 2022.
