Centre Hi Fi Highlights New Brand at Montreal Audiofest

Centre Hi Fi, an online, long-standing in-store electronics retailer, has launched a new flagship concept store and plans to celebrate it, and their history in the industry at the Montreal Audiofest. The MAF, a conference and festival celebrating music and sound, was held in March.

Quebec, Canada – May 5, 2023

Celebrating nearly four decades of selling the best in high-end audio, amongst other electronics, Centre Hi Fi attended and highlighted their newly minted brand, “Absolu” at Montreal Audiofest. The audiophile’s conference, also known as MAF, was held from 24 – 26 March and hosted a wide range of exhibitions and brands.

Centre Hi Fi took the opportunity at the Montreal Audiofest to introduce their new store concept. They featured a demo room for their new experience centers for high-end audio, aptly titled “Absolu”, which will be rolled out across key locations throughout the Spring, first at the Centre Hi Fi Boisbriand location in early May and secondly at the Brossard location at the beginning of June. More Absolu stores are scheduled to open throughout the year.

The Absolu concept room at the MAF, which was built on the main conference level, included flagship speakers from Yamaha, Totem, Kef, and Triangle, showing the brand’s continued dedication to high-end audio products. Vinyl records were played using a Technics SL1200GR turntable while streaming was handled by the new T+A DAC 200. The Technics SU-G700M2 paired with Triangle’s Magellan Cello speakers and Kef R11 Meta speakers. T+A PA3100HV amplifiers were used to power Marten Parker Duo and Oscar Trio speakers as well as Totem Wind Design speakers. There was a second Absolu demo room upstairs, as well, which demonstrated the new 3-way bass-reflex floor standing speakers, the NS-2000A from Yamaha along with Yamaha’s new 90-watt R-N2000A Network Streaming Receiver.

“The customer that is seeking the very best in audio and home theatre solutions demands a different shopping experience that is rooted in exceptional customer service, demonstration, and a deep understanding of the product,” explains Daniel D’Alimonte, owner of Centre Hi Fi.

Centre Hi Fi is an electronic store, offering deliveries from their online shop as well as direct sales through their 25 store locations throughout Canada. They offer a wide range of TVs, home audio systems, soundbars, projectors, and more. A dedication to high-end audio equipment has always been a key part of Centre Hi Fi’s new approach to changing customer habits, and they decided to attend Montreal Audiofest to showcase their latest projects in that space through their Absolu store concept.
