Art and Luxury at Entry: RiZZ Design Expands Iconic Doormat Range in the U.S
RiZZ’s new mat designs blend effortlessly into architectural spaces and come in various colours and sizes for personalisation.
United States – December 1, 2023 —
Dutch family business RiZZ has been producing groundbreaking mat designs from its centre of operations in Nijkerk, Netherlands, for over 80 years. The brand now offers its exclusive range of doormats in the U.S. as part of its ongoing efforts to redefine luxury living.
Originally captivating hearts in 2006, “these doormats flaunt a distinctive design that stands the test of time, where every detail is a testament to art and luxury at entry” the brand says. The unique open structure sets these doormats apart, creating an inviting atmosphere that beautifully balances form and function, keeping dirt at bay. The timeless design ensures a warm and stylish welcome for every doorstep; front, back, and patio door.
RiZZ says the luxury doormats will be available in four stunning colours: anthracite, white, black, and silver. Buyers will have the option to include an attractive teak inlay for any design. Three standard sizes are available for various settings: regular, wide and double for patio doors. RiZZ says it can also supply custom sizes for property owners wanting to personalise indoor-outdoor spaces.
“We are seeing more demand for custom sizes and the concept is thriving,” the brand says. “Buyers now want to enjoy a personalised entrance with a perfect fit meaning they have more size customization choices, complemented by the luxurious teak inlay option and the timeless palette of four existing colours.”
RiZZ designs its premium doormats to last. The manufacturer equips them with an anodised powder coating that is exceptionally weather-resistant and durable in heat and cold. The corrosion-resistant aluminium frame gives the products an expected life span of over ten years.
Dirt and moisture removal is also more effective. “Our outdoor mats have innovative brush strips that effectively remove up to 80 per cent more dirt from shoe soles, while indoor mats dry 80 per cent of moisture,” the company says. “Ridges get into gaps on the bottom of shoes, pulling out dirt and preventing it from being dragged into the home, while absorbent materials on indoor mats prevent mudding.”
The new mats are a product of RiZZ’s design philosophy. The company aims to achieve a pure, timeless, luxurious and natural-versus-industrial style. Designs must be “straightforward but effortless” to make the grade. This thinking goes back to 1941 when the Zuiddam family laid the foundations for the brand. The aim was to create the perfect finishing touch for every entrance, creating a seamless transition from outside to inside.
Interestingly, though, RiZZ also believes in the functional value of brushes. “Show your luxury mats and brooms, don’t hide them,” is a Trudie and Evert Zuiddam company motto that informs the firm’s basic concept. It believes the latter can be as much a part of the design concept as the former.
The company underwent a restructuring in 2015 to improve transparency and bring more luxurious products to market. The new format gives customers improved product communication and expands the firm’s range.
