Kigali City, Rwanda – June 5, 2024 —
TRES Infrastructure Ltd (TRES), a leading telecommunications infrastructure provider in Rwanda, is proud to announce its continued growth and success, thanks to the vision and leadership of its CEO, Venuste TWAGIRAMUNGU. The company has just secured a significant contract to install over 200 cell phone towers nationwide, further solidifying its position as a trusted partner in the country’s telecommunications sector. This milestone comes on the heels of a majority equity investment from Admaius Capital Partners, an Africa-focused private equity investor, in May, 2024.
By expanding its infrastructure and capabilities, TRES aims to support Rwanda’s rapid economic growth, improve telecommunications services, and empower local communities through enhanced connectivity and access to information. This expansion will benefit over 1 million people, extend high-speed internet access to 500 schools and hospitals.
The investment from Admaius Capital Partners is enabling TRES to expand its tower portfolio locally, aligning with the country’s target to achieve over 95% geographical coverage in the next few years. This expansion is expected to improve network affordability and connectivity in both rural and urban areas, supporting the growing population and increasing number of mobile subscribers.
“We are thrilled to see our hard work and dedication paying off,” said Venuste TWAGIRAMUNGU, CEO of TRES. “Our team’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction has enabled us to achieve this significant milestone, and we look forward to continuing to support Rwanda’s growth and development.”
Since its inception, TRES has grown exponentially, claiming several awards and recognition for its outstanding contributions to the engineering industry. In 2013 and 2014, TRES was recognized and awarded by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) for being among the top 100 mid-sized companies in Rwanda. In 2019, TRES was recognized by the Rwandan Ministry of Labor for its outstanding contribution to empowering undergraduate students through internships, providing a platform for young talent to flourish and contribute to the growth of the engineering industry.
TRES obtained a Network Infrastructure Provider license in Rwanda in 2020, showcasing their commitment to international standards, safety, and excellent customer service. The company was also recognized by the Institution of Engineers Rwanda in 2018 for their commitment to the growth and advancement of the engineering industry through the introduction of innovative and cutting-edge technologies.
Under Venuste’s leadership, TRES has made significant strides in its growth journey. The company has not only expanded its tower infrastructure but also invested in the development of its employees through the incorporation of a worker enhancement training center. This training center provides employees with effective and practical skills to excel in their roles, demonstrating TRES’ commitment to investing in the lives of others. Additionally, Venuste has introduced a dedicated training section within the company, focused on equipping employees with essential life skills for their personal success. This includes workshops on financial literacy, time management, and goal setting, among others.
Venuste attributes TRES’ growing success to the implementation of L. Ron Hubbard’s administrative tools, which he discovered during his studies at the Hubbard College of Administration in Los Angeles. “The tools I learned from L. Ron Hubbard has been instrumental in our growth and success,” said Venuste. “They have enabled us to streamline our operations, improve our management structure, and make informed decisions that drive our business forward. We are proud to be part of the country’s growth story and look forward to continued success.”
TRES’ commitment to reliability and service has enabled the company to maintain its position as the trusted and preferred engineering services provider to the telecom industry in the East African Region. With over 100 construction sites built across the country, TRES continues to power Rwanda with 0 hours of downtime.
“We are proud to be part of TRES’ growth journey and look forward to seeing the company’s continued success,” said Marlon Chigwende, Managing Partner of Admaius Capital Partners. “TRES is a shining example of African entrepreneurship and innovation, and we are excited to support their expansion plans.”
