Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa, January 9, 2025 — In a grand celebration of unity and progress, over 2,000 attendees, including VIPs, government officials, business leaders, community influencers, Volunteer Ministers, Scientology gathered at the Church of Scientology, Castle Kyalami in Midrand to welcome 2025. The event, a spectacular replay of the 2024 New Year’s Celebration, highlighted the incredible achievements of Scientology’s humanitarian programs and laid the groundwork for even greater societal impact in the coming year.

The event celebrated the success of key programs such as WISE, ABLE, NARCONON and IHELP. These initiatives, aimed at uplifting communities and addressing critical social issues, were met with widespread acclaim from attendees.

The event drew a diverse group of influential figures, including Members of the National Parliament, representatives of the South African Social Security Agency, Provincial Government officials, and Executives from top corporations such as Nissan South Africa and Woolworths. These leaders were inspired by the Church’s commitment to social betterment and many expressed interest in expanding their involvement.

“The opening entertainment absolutely blew me away!” said an International Event Coordinator. “I’m excited to collaborate with the Church to bring its programs to the Royal Bafokeng Nation.”

As attendees reflected on the achievements of 2024, they also looked ahead to 2025 with enthusiasm. The event emphasized the expansion of programs like Narconon for drug rehabilitation and Applied Scholastics for educational improvement. Many attendees, already trained as Volunteer Ministers, committed to furthering their involvement by opening new Dianetics groups and becoming WISE consultants.

“Scientology’s tools have the power to unite people across all divides,” said a Member of National Parliament. “In 2025, I hope to work even more closely with the Church to bring its transformative programs to my community.”

Throughout the event, testimonials from attendees underscored the profound impact of Scientology’s humanitarian work. 

A ward councilor emphasized the importance of partnership: “I will recommend that our municipality collaborates with the Church to educate and rehabilitate our community regarding drug abuse.”
