PiggyBankGirls: The First Erotic Crowdfunding Platform

Berlin, DE – In March 2014, PiggyBankGirls launched as a new crowdfunding service where women can create campaigns about projects they have and reward their donators with erotic tokens of appreciation (pictures, videos, etc.). PiggyBankGirls is the first crowdfunding platform that addresses itself to adult performers as they are often neglected by mainstream crowdfunding platforms.

“The idea for the first erotic crowdfunding site for girls came from talking to girls that are either in the erotic business, but also girls without any adult-related background. They told us that if they’d get into the erotic industry (or why they got there), they would do it for a specific goal,” the PiggyBankGirls team explains, “The girls wanted to go on a boat cruise, pay tuition fees, or even for surgery due to health/beauty reasons. We realized that many of them could make those wishes come true by sharing a bit of themselves with interested people.”

These tokens of appreciation can be a range of things – some sexy pictures, hot videos, a customized message or whatever occurs to them. PiggyBankGirls features a range of campaigns, from helping fund one girl’s dream trip to America to financing another girl’s new laptop for work and school.

“We try to keep our fees as low as we can… We charge a 20% share of every campaign, which is unique in the adult industry. Among other aspects, this is done by the elimination of intermediaries which would reduce the share of the girls,” says the team, “PiggyBankGirls is the only intermediary left in this concept. Also, we care deeply about the nature and the production of our content. We have strict rules against child pornography, sodomy, violence, abuse and any kind of content that might show harmful, illegal, or offensive elements.”

The girls get 80% of what’s been donated to their fund, while the rest is kept to cover the expenses for advertising as well as server and billing operator costs. Since the platform was launched there have been 82 campaigns in total, with over 8,000 members and more than $50,000 funded.
