Revolutionary Brands Inc. (www.RevBrandsInc.com), a seller and distributor of unique products throughout North America, is weighing in on a new poll that says that an increased number of Millennials—people born between the early 1980s and early 2000s—re using anti-aging products.
The poll, conducted by the Bank of America Merrill Lynch, found that 40% of the participants expected to start using anti-aging products between the ages of 25 to 35. The numbers are much higher than people in the 40 to 50 age bracket, which is the range in which people typically start to use anti-aging night creams, day creams, and other products to fight the visible signs of aging. “The findings of this poll are certainly surprising,” says Brad Lawson, owner of Revolutionary Brands Inc. “The traditional image of a customer for anti-aging creams is someone in their mid- to late 40’s and up. This shows that more and more people want to maintain clear, healthy skin long before the effects of aging take hold.”
The poll’s participants ranged in age from under 18 to 50. Not surprisingly, the 50-and-over market saw the next biggest spike in participants who expected to use anti-aging products with just under 20%.
“It should be noted that the study’s participants who fit into the Millennial age group had mixed feelings about when they were going to start using anti-aging products,” Lawson adds. “However, it did show that people are becoming more and more concerned about wrinkles, crow’s feet, and sun damage at an early age.”
“The demographics for people using anti-aging products to combat wrinkles and undo sun damage are changing,” Lawson concludes. “Even if they aren’t looking to fight the signs of aging, products such as a night cream for wrinkles can combat sun damage and adult acne, which many Millennials continue to suffer from well into their 20s and even 30s.”
