Dissertation And Academic Writing Coach Releases Details On Academic Muse Writer’s Inner Cir., Boot Camp
June 26, 2015 – – The noted Academic Professor behind the website Academic Muse, Alan Klima is pleased to announce that the forthcoming round of his Writer’s Inner Circle (a.k.a. Muse Writing Boot Camp) will commence on Monday July 20 2015. The Writing Bootcamp provides academic writers with helpful tools such as drafts, outlines, and brainstorming methods in order to maximize the writer’s potential.
“Thousands of academics throw away their work and their words.” said Alan Klima, Founder of the Academic Muse. “We need a writing system that is on the same side as the academic writer. Instead of having these writers slave away for years of work only to get a few publications.”
The Academic Muse website is an online writing club for Professors and Grad Students that is dedicated to helping them benefit from their research and accomplish more work. The website provides writers access to other writing tools such as several free ebooks including How I Doubled My Daily Word Count, Getting Free of What Hinders You, and Step-By-Step to the Writer’s Space.
Alan Klima is the Founder of Academic Muse and a Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Davis. He won the Victor Turner Prize for Ethnographic Writing for his book The Funeral Casino and he is the Director, Cinematographer, and Writer behind Ghosts and Numbers. Through his creative academic writing club Academic Muse, Alan Klima hopes to help people write. On the Academic Muse website, he makes the following statement on the About Alan Klima page: “Right now, at the moment, I am writing to you just as someone who can help with frustrations in keeping a writing practice going, and also as someone who has spent quite a while studying from the masters of writing. This was both indirect study- by reading their books on writing – and direct study: by going into their prose and form and taking it as deeply into myself as I could.”
Alan Klima also made the following statement on the Boot Camp page of the website: “We academic writers need writing to be up front and center in life, but we can’t be writing all the time. We need to keep moving, without the clutter of distractions or the hiccups of getting started up. Right now you are in a place where you can figure out what it is that is really hindering you. And more important, what you can do to change that.” He says that writing is an art of attention.
The Sign-up List for the Muse Writing Boot Camp where students will learn to “finish your dissertation”, book or journal article, and to get more information about Academic Muse can be found directly on the website.
