2015 USATF outdoor championships Announces more online hours to watch than ever before
June 26, 2015 – – This year’s USATF Outdoor Track and Field championships will have more online coverage than ever before. This meet will serve as the qualifying event for the IAAF World championships in Beijing China on August 22-Aug 30, 2015.
This year’s championships will feature some great athletes from the US. The Men’s sprints with Tyson Gay, Justin Gatlin, Mike Rodgers and Ryan Bailey, have the 5 fastest times in the world in the 100 meters and Gatlin is the world leader in the 200 meters.
The women’s sprints will feature US leader English Gardner, and NCAA Champion Jenna Prandini from Oregon in the 100 meters, and World leader and defending Olympic champion in the 200 meters Allyson Felix.
Defending 2013 world champions competing this weekend include:
LaShaw Merritt in the 400M, David Oliver in the 110MHurdles, the men’s 4 x 400M relay team, and Ashton Eaton in the Decathlon.
On the women’s side defending 2013 world champions include Brianna Rollins in the 100M hurdles and Brittney Reese in the Long Jump.
With more online hours scheduled for streaming this meet, track fans have a great opportunity to not miss any action. The current schedule is here. The 2015 USATF Outdoor Championships will be broadcast live from Eugene, Oregon Thursday through Sunday, June 25-28 via multiple outlets. USATF.tv will provide daily online coverage. NBC & NBC Sports Network will carry live television coverage Friday through Sunday. Check local listings for the television coverage.
This year’s USATF.TV announcers include Olympic and World Decathlon Champion Dan O’Brien, The voice of Hayward Field, Paul Swangard, 1500 m 2004 Olympian Carrie Tollefson, 1984 British Olympian Tim Hutchings, and former Oregon Distance star, Rob Vermillion.
