Statistics say more and more couples are waiting after marriage to move in together
In every relationship it starts with trust and then it starts with respect. Next is sharing the key to a house or apartment, then sharing car keys, and maybe to even having a business together and that to involves a key. The key to any relationship is to understand and know each other’s commonalities to the many differences that may not be tolerated by each other, but you have to love person for who they are. Other couples are the total opposite, which they can’t stand one another and are forced to be together by many reasons one can’t phantom.
People move in together too quickly for all sorts of reasons—because they think they are in love, or want to get revenge on their last boyfriend or girlfriend, then becomes hopelessly attached to each other from the beginning. Some people take their time and ease their way into the relationship and move in when the time is right. Now more than ever couples are waiting after marriage to move in together.
For the first timers liviing together, many of us actually figure each other out and the “real” person comes out and also how to divide bills. Yes, 34 percent of people said they like to split things evenly, but there’s no indication what evenly means—it could mean right down the middle, same amount, or an equal percentage of income.
For what the statistics dishes out it really depends on the couple and the level of respect and tolerance they have for each other. Couples vary in age groups and the common factor is how much in love they are to begin with. The relationship of moving together begins how couples interact and have that level of understanding both financially and emotionally. Stable couples can last and live together for a long time and couples who quickly moves in together without knowing each other’s characteristics is surely asking for trouble.
