The latest southern Nevada real estate numbers released by Las Vegas realtor Leslie Hoke continue to show empirical evidence that the Las Vegas housing market is alive and kicking. In fact, it’s just more proof that all the hype at the beginning of the year about the rebound was justified. As major real estate players like Trulia have been shouting the praises of the Las Vegas market, the numbers have responded and continue to trend positively for the once battered state.

“One of the things I’m most encouraged by is the decline in cash buys, short sales, and foreclosure sales, but the overall increase in Las Vegas home sales. And that’s a good sign,” said Hoke.

“Prices have risen nearly 11% in the last year, but took a 3.7% uptick last month. So if you’re a buyer, it would be wise to make offers on homes you want now before prices continue to go up. Conversely, sellers should price their homes to sell and that should result on a fairly quick sale assuming all other factors involving sale-ability are on point,” Hoke continued.
