Thomson-Reuters’ Super Lawyers Magazine Names DFW Personal Injury Attorney Shane Mullen a 2015 ‘Rising Star’

The research department then analyzes all candidates on 12 different factors: (1) verdicts/settlements, (2) transactions, (3) representative clients, (4) experience, (5) honors/awards, (6) special licenses/certifications, (7) position in law firm, (8) bar and professional activity, (9) pro bono and community service, (10) scholarly lectures/writings, (11) education/employment background, and (12) other outstanding achievements.
In the next step of the selection process, candidates with the highest point totals so far serve on a panel. The panelists then score candidate lawyers from each practice area. The last step in the selection process involves grouping candidates into four categories, according to firm size. Solo and small firm lawyers are placed in one category. Super Lawyers’ research staff checks the status of every lawyer’s professional license. And each candidate is asked to pledge they’ve never been subject to disciplinary or criminal actions. Internet searches are conducted to ensure each lawyer has no outstanding public or legal matters pending against them.
The final “Rising Stars” list contains the top 2.5% of all lawyers in Texas with less than 10 years of experience, or under 40.
