Amy Jane, Professional Shooter, Celebrity Firearms Trainer, Fitness Model, & Bellator Ring Girl Joins NBC Show, “The Blindspot” as Stunt Double
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / July 16, 2015 / While many actors today are taking on their own stunt work, there are times when a professional stunt person is still necessary. That’s when Amy Jane steps in. Years as a fitness model, competitive shooter, and firearms trainer, have honed Amy’s skills and body to make her a force to reckon with on screen and off.
With an ever expanding firearms training client list of first time shooters, other competitors, and celebrities, as well as a growing resume, including hosting 3-Gun Nation, a nationally broadcast television show, stunt and precision driving work on the FX and HBO shows, “Sons of Anarchy” and “The Brink,” as well as her own show on TheWashingtonPost.com, “Shooting Straight with Amy Jane,” stunt person Amy Jane is staying busy.
In addition to those thrilling endeavors, she is excited about her NBC debut with the soon-to-be-hit fall show, “The Blindspot.”
In this new series, the lead character, Jane Doe, played by actress Jaimie Alexander, is billed as the female Jason Bourne. After being found naked in Times Square, Jane Doe is taken in and studied by the FBI. During her evaluation, they discover that she has rare and specialized abilities, including hand-to-hand combat and remarkable shooting skills.
The need for those imposing skills, in an incredibly fit, athletic female, and the fact that Amy Jane and Jaimie Alexander could pass for sisters, made her the perfect stunt double for the role of Jane Doe.
The incredible shooting sequences, physical stunts, and precision driving required of Amy are all there to keep the action moving, a role that she is more than comfortable fulfilling.
To see Amy in action, be sure to check out the premier episode of “The Blindspot” on NBC, on Monday, September 21 at 10 p.m.
