Thai Army to Help Farmers Suffering From Drought

Colonel Niwach Chayakul Ecological Deputy Commander Army of Buriram province along with the relevant authorities sent 2 trucks with drinking water truck with 24,000 liters of water adding to the water containers, water storage tanks center for the village. The Moo 15, Song Chun district, Amphoe Krasang Buriram province, to help and to give relief for the public water supply shortages. That has been affected by drought which cause the natural water sources of the consumer dry up.

The rainwater as a second source of some household containers are depleted because there is no water supply system available on groundwater for consumption. Moreover the water that is available for the villagers located at the deputy district bunk which is 3 kilometers away.

In addition, the guava economy has been affected by drought since it dried up that causes leaves to be dry and shriveled. Authorities must accelerate in providing water supply to sustain the moisture and to prevent a massive damage to the farmers

According to the Army of Buriram province has coordinated to different agencies involved to clear out dredging ponds. This is to bring back the ability to retain portable water and to sustain water for the agriculture throughout the year. The water supply system in the village is now under the operation of the local authorities .

Mr. Theera Leawsuthee sheriff of Krasang district said the district has accelerated to assist farmers in the area urgently. The dredging of waterways to overburden the water beneath the surface was used. Now there are five hundred thousand baht budget for relief assistance to the victims. If not, it will be presented to the governor to seek further assistance.
