The Law Office Of Thomas J Maronick Jr, LLC Offers Free, Innovative Smartphone App To People At Risk For DUI Stops

July 30, 2015 – – Baltimore, MD — Considered by many to be a top DUI attorney in Baltimore, attorney Thomas Maronick Jr. is pleased to announce the release of the firm’s new Maronick DUIResQ app for Apple and Android smartphones.

His firm, The Law Office of Thomas Maronick Jr, LLC now offers the Maronick DUIResQ app as a free public service to discourage drinking and driving as well as to educate the public about their rights during a DUI stop. The free app also provides a feature for the user to quickly contact a DUI attorney immediately prior to a potential arrest, with the aim of expediting release from jail.

After downloading the DUIResQ app, users personalize the app by entering their full name and date of birth as well as their contact information and the contact information for a friend. If users feel the danger of arrest during a DUI stop, they can decide to send this information directly to attorney Maronick. The app will immediately deliver the data via text and email to users’ DUI attorney, Maronick, when users press the DUIResQ button on the app.

Maronick says he helped developers personalize the app and offers it for free because, “It’s very important for people to understand their legal rights during a DUI stop, and this app may help them avoid potential legal problems if they know and understand their rights.” The app features an educational section specifically addressing users’ legal rights for that purpose.

In addition, users can preserve the conversation that takes place during a DUI stop by using the record feature on the DUIResQ app.

DUIResQ app users can also take advantage of the Blood Alcohol Calculator developed according to the most commonly used equation known as the Widmark Formula. To estimate their blood alcohol concentration with reasonable accuracy, users enter answers to questions on the app and quickly receive an estimate of their BAC. The app asks them their weight and gender along with how many hours they have been drinking, how many drinks they consumed in that time and what types of drinks they consumed.

The app’s stability game tests users’ balance as they attempt to stabilize an image on the screen while holding their phones. The phones’ gyroscope feature will record how steadily the users hold the phones to stabilize the image and average out their stability to reveal their state of balance or unbalance.

Maronick provided both the BAC and Stability Game features in the app as educational tools that might help users make smart decisions and not attempt to drive (available for informational purposes only).

The app is a free download, and it comes with a free case review that will be available if users ever need that information because of a DUI arrest. Maronick says, “The ultimate goal of their new app is to help people make better decisions when it comes to possibly drinking and driving.”

Although people may think they will never drink and drive, if they do drive after only one or two drinks, they may be at risk for a DUI stop. If an officer pulls them over, they will experience far less stress when they have the free Maronick Law Firm DUIResQ app downloaded on their smartphones.

Anyone who may occasionally drink and drive is encouraged to download the free Maronick Law DUIResQ app by texting DUI HELP to 313131.
