Michael’s Mission Welcomes New Marketing Director
NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / August 13, 2015 / Michael’s Mission welcomes Caitlin Grand to their staff as Marketing and Community Relations Director. In this new role, Ms. Grand will oversee promotion of several new Michael’s Mission programs, including new initiatives that will launch in September 2015, such as: the Patient Navigator Program; Patient Mentor Program; and #OneVoice Program.
As part of the Michael’s Mission portfolio of programs and services, Caitlin will also help promote the expansion of education, outreach and patient support initiatives. One aspect of this growth includes the enhanced services provided the Patient and Family Support Program provided by Michael’s Mission in partnership with the Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health. This signature program allows patients and their families the opportunity to meet with an oncology social worker in a private setting for emotional and psycho-social support while the patient simultaneously receives chemotherapy or other related treatment. Patient Navigators and Patient Mentors are also available to assist patients and their families during this time or for follow-up services, resources and support.
“I am delighted to welcome Caity to our Michael’s Mission Team”, said Martha Raymond, Executive Director. “I’ve worked with Caity on numerous colon cancer education and outreach events, and I’ve been impressed by her dedication, ‘can-do’ attitude and the enthusiasm she brings to each and every task before her. Michael’s Mission is growing dramatically, and we are fortunate to have Caity join our hard-working Team as we expand our patient and family support services, education and outreach efforts to help all those affected by colorectal cancer.”
“I’m thrilled for this opportunity! Martha (Raymond) happened to be the first person I connected with on advocacy efforts after my Mom was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2009. Being able to work with Martha professionally to raise colon cancer awareness is a dream!” said Caitlin Grand.
