Latest Wrongful Death Lawsuit Details:
A complaint was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on March 20th, 2015 by the son of a man in Georgia who unfortuantely died due to an uncontrollable internal bleeding incident.
The case is filed under case number 1:15-cv00886 and states that the decedent was prescribed Xarelto for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.
The complaint also states that the decedent died due to a major internal bleeding incident in March 2013. The plaintiff alleged that was caused by Xarelto usage.
Finally, the complaint alleges that Bayer AG and Janssen Pharmaceuticals, the two firms responsible for Xarelto’s manufacturing and distribution in the United States, deliberately concealed information related to Xarelto’s safety and the uncontrollable internal bleeding risk.
The plaintiff argues that the death of his father would not have occured if his father had been accurately made aware of the serious risks associated with the anticoagulant in question.
