Streetwise Announces New Arrivals in Hip Hop Clothing

September 22, 2015 – – Santa Fe Springs, California based Streetwise Clothing has announced their newest line of hip hop clothing, for Fall 2015. The clothing line features the clothing company’s salute to influential rap pioneers, N.W.A.

Founded in 2003 by Manny Rivera, Streetwise offers clothing lines that are meant to inspire and motivate people who struggle to reach their goals. The company’s salute to N.W.A. has produced an urban clothing line that is reminiscent of the Compton, California hip hop group’s controversial raps, which took a stand against law enforcement during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

“It’s a great line, and one that we’re sure people are going to love,” states company spokesperson, Orlando Carillo. “It was designed to reflect the attitude of the streets and of N.W.A. and the impact that they had on all of us.”

N.W.A. is considered one of the most popular hip hop groups of their time, and they were very significant in popularizing the West Coast hip hop subgenre. They are considered to be one of the groups that founded the popular gangsta rap genre, enduring controversy during their performing years for lyrics that were often outlandish and crude. Many considered the group to be disrespectful, and they were banned from many radio stations over the years. Despite that, they were able to sell more than 10 million records in the U.S. alone, and they continue to be a popular sound today with listeners of all ages.

The new Fall 2015 line includes caps, t-shirts, and tanks in a number of colors and designs, including a “Stand Up” design and various “L.A. Rioters.” The line goes along with the Streetwise motto, “From the streets of L.A. to the concrete jungles of the world,” says Orlando.

The hip hop clothing line is the newest release from the company, which also offers a Cheech & Chong collaboration, and various other lines. Past lines, such as that of Summer 2015, and others are still available from the store as well. Updates from collaborations and new lines coming in the future can be seen on the Streetwise website.

More about the new line can be seen on the company’s official website at streetwisegear.com.
