Saskatoon, Canada – September 29, 2015 /PressCable/ —
The days of having a first aid kit on hand but not knowing what to do in an emergency are over, according to a leading Canadian private label first aid kit manufacturer. Redi-Medic has just announced that they are now including a free first aid smartphone app with all emergency kits. Available for Apple, Blackberry and Android devices, the training is demonstrated in six languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese and Hindi.
“Instant access to first aid training is a great benefit to our safety kit users” said Joe Hafner, President of Redi-Medic. “Having a first aid kit is good, but knowing what to do in any emergency situation is even better: it can save a life, maybe your own. For many years we have been offering online first aid video training as a standard part of our kits, and now this training is available not only on the internet, but also on mobile phones: with this free app, our first aid kit owners can access certified professional life saving instruction wherever they are and when they need it the most”.
The free Redi-Medic app is a 50 minute condensation of a standard first aid course and techniques demonstrated by certified professional trainers in accordance with St. John Ambulance/Red Cross approved safety standards. Topics include: amputation procedures, breathing emergencies, burns, checking the scene, choking, cold related first aid, CPR, cuts, diabetic emergencies, eye injury, heart attack, heat cramps, heat stroke, impaled object, insect bites and stings, nosebleed, poisons first aid, seizures, shock, splints and slings, stroke and tooth injury.
Included with each Redi-Medic safety kit is a card with passcodes. One allows online training videos to be accessed with any internet enabled device at Redi-Videos. The other passcode comes with instructions on how to install the free app on smartphones. Redi-Medic apps are also available as corporate subscriptions and for purchase online at iTunes and the Android Market.
