GoodHangups Wins NBC Today Show’s Product Contest, TODAY’s Next Big Thing

SEATTLE, WA / ACCESSWIRE / October 16, 2015 / NBC TODAY show collaborated with QVC on a country-wide search for the next great product to hit the market called “TODAY’s Next Big Thing”. The winner was a product called GoodHangups which is a patent-pending magnetic hanging system for posters, prints, cards and more.

The Today Show partnered with powerhouse retailer QVC and launched a nationwide product search for the Next Big Thing. It was a great opportunity for entrepreneurs and inventors to be able to share their product on a national stage. Out of the thousands of submissions, nine finalists were chosen to compete on the Today Show for the title of TODAY’s Next Big Thing and the opportunity to sell their products on QVC the next day. The panel of judges consisted of QVC’s Doug Howe, TODAY contributor Jill Martin, and TODAY’s Al Roker.

Jill Martin said, “Al Roker is a gadget guy and has never seen anything like this before.”

Al Roker commented, “I wish you had come up with this 10 years ago when my kids were little.”

GoodHangups officially launched on QVC following the TODAY win and sold out in under 5 minutes.

GoodHangups was created by Leslie Pierson, mom of a 5 year-old budding artist, who created the product to solve the problem of how to hang her son’s art. “My fridge was covered and I had tried all the other solutions and just wanted to find a better way to display and change out the art in my house,” said Pierson. “I’m very passionate about solving everyday problems through designs.”

GoodHangups consists of sets of strong magnets & MagnaStickers that allow you to turn any wall into a magnetic board. They are removable and reusable and they work on brick, concrete, wood, textured walls and many other surfaces. “Our motto is No Holes. No Damage. All fun!” said Pierson “and we are passionate about helping the over 40 million renters in the US get their rental deposits back by eliminating the need to put a hole in the wall to hang your art.”
