October 28, 2015 – – MathFileFolderGames.com, a math company based out of Alberta, Canada, has called for proposals for their virtual math summit. The summit will be launching online, and the team is seeking presenters which will be suitable for the event.

The virtual math conference is an event being produced by math teachers, for math teachers in an effort to create more support and fresh ideas in this teaching industry. It is scheduled to take place in February of 2016, with dates being posted on the conference website.

Those who register for the Online Math Summit are being offered free access to all of the online videos and presentations that will take place. The team at MathFIleFolderGames.com is sending out a Call for Math Proposals in the hopes that more presenters will take initiative and get involved in this teaching and learning process. The company has said the following regarding the summit: “Each day has its own theme, but the overall objective is to bring together a full spectrum of participants from all parts of the world who share a concern and a passion for mathematics education. In particular, a critical component for the success of this conference will be the participation of school teachers at all levels from all different parts of the world.”

Each Day of the Virtual Online Math Summit will consist of a long presentation which lasts an hour and a half or more, three to five short presentations of ten to thirty minutes, and live chat all day. It will continue on for a five day period with a weekend break in between, before beginning again for another five day stretch. The company is hoping that this summit will make a big difference in the lives of those who take part. They have made it clear that they believe teachers make a huge impact on their communities, and this summit is aimed at supporting them.

Due to the virtual nature of the summit, MathFileFolderGames.com has said that teachers can take part from home during prep time, from the classroom, or anywhere else that is comfortable to login and participate.
