LOS ANGELES, CA – 11/12/2015 (PRESS RELEASE JET) — Healthy fast food restaurant Fala Bar will open a second Los Angeles location at 1146 Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, CA on November 21. Fala Bar offers healthier alternatives to traditional comfort foods and is 100% vegan, organic, nut-free and locally sources all produce to offer the freshest and most nourishing foods possible.

Owners Andres Izquieta, Mike Shab and Gina Ragnone first opened Fala Bar on Melrose Avenue near Fairfax in April 2014. The newest location will be closely modeled after the successful flagship restaurant, featuring a 660-foot space, seating 3 inside and12 on the back patio. It will offer 10 new menu additions to the menu, including bowls, sandwiches and street-style tacos. This second restaurant will offer healthy fast food to the Westside community, where Fala Bar already has a strong following that uses PostMates for delivery.

“We feel that Abbot Kinney is the obvious next step and best fit for Fala Bar. The Venice community embraces and promotes the vegan movement and it’s one of the hottest streets in America,” says Izquieta.

Fala Bar, owned by three non-vegans, is disrupting the stereotypes associated with vegan food. The goal was to set out to make vegan food that carnivores would like: satisfying, flavorful and mouth-watering. Co-owner Ragnone, a holistic health coach, has expertly crafted delicious options that will please vegans and non-vegans alike. The best-selling Kale Burger, for example, features a kale falafel topped with shredded cabbage, lemony kale, homemade Thousand Island dressing, grilled onions and avocado, with the option to add on sweet potato fries that are fried in a better-for-you grapeseed oil.

“Although I am not a vegan, I believe everyone should have several meatless meals per week to ensure the bulk of their diet is plant-based,” says Gina Ragnone, holistic health coach, menu creator and owner. “At Fala Bar, we know we appeal to vegans, but we want to prove to the meat eaters that they will love vegan food, too. That is why we stay away from all processed vegan food and stick with pure and wholesome ingredients that anyone would recognize.”

Fala Bar will continue to expand in 2016, with plans for additional locations in California.

Hours are 11am-9pm, 7 days per week. Take-out and delivery are available. For more information on Fala Bar, please visit http://www.falabar.com or contact Rebecca Reinbold.
