Flood Services Canada announces initiatives that will enhances the company’s services and response.

Flood Services Canada has commenced a pair of new initiatives to further its teams’ abilities to restore fire- and smoke-damaged properties. These measures were developed largely through the company’s certification with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and its membership in the Commercial Loss Experts (CLE) network.
“Ash, soot, and smoke are all acidic and can eat away at buildings and furniture. It also infiltrates walls and vents, where the ventilation system will break it up and circulate it beyond the initial site,” says Chad Vanvari, Owner of Flood Services Canada. “The ability to respond thoroughly and with the best technical methods available means less long-term fire or smoke damage, fewer overall costs, and more importantly, reduced interruption to regular business operations. The first initiative will see all senior employees undergo Fire and Smoke Technician (FRST) training provided by the IICRC. This course will provide education in advanced techniques to counteract the smoke and ash left behind by fires. The second initiative is the adoption of a First Responder network, in which Flood Services Canada will join with other members of the CLE group. The group members will use a Web-based system aimed at reducing response times to any fire or smoke damage calls.
