Sexual Assault Attorney Files Child Sex Abuse Lawsuit In Delaware
December 31, 2015 – – AbuseGuardian.com reports on a child sexual abuse case filed in the Superior Court of Delaware in Kent County on February 27, 2014. Case number K13C-10-017 RBY was filed naming Kiddie Kollege Institute as the defendant.
The Plaintiffs, the parents and guardians of the child, are residents of Delaware and entered into a written contract with Kiddie Kollege Institute, the Defendant, for child care services. During the time of the alleged abuse the minor was 17 months old, and the Defendant was charged with the minor’s care. During the month of November 2012 the minor Plaintiff would frequently come home with bumps, bruises, scratches, and cuts on her body. The minor Plaintiff’s mother reported this to The State of Delaware, Department of Services for Children, Youth, and their Families, Office of Child Care Licensing. An investigation was conducted on a new teacher which concluded that the teacher was physically assaulting the children, including the minor Plaintiff.
In the month of December 2012 the minor Plaintiff began coming home with dirty diapers and soiled clothes. The minor’s mother addressed this with the owner of the the Kiddie Kollege Institute, and was assured that it would not occur again. According to court documents, the minor Plaintiff became ill on December 17th, and required hospitalization where she was diagnosed with swelling of the kidneys and a “adult-type” urinary tract infection. During January the minor Plaintiff began exhibiting behavioral changes, and became fearful of having her diaper changed. She began to complain of pain “down there.” After numerous marks continued to appear on the minor the Plaintiffs terminated their contract with the Defendant. The complaint states that after medical examination the minor Plaintiff was determined to have been “physically and/or sexually assaulted in/or around her vaginal area”.
