Things Come Full Circle for Newly Crowned Connecticut’s Fit Mrs

Start 2016 out right! Hoop your way to fitness with Connecticut’s Fit Mrs. and see what all the hoopla is about!

Cori Magnotta is the newly crowned Connecticut’s Fit Mrs.! Her platform, or issue of concern, ‘Health with Hypothyroidism’ hits close to home as she was recently diagnosed with the disease. Hypothyroidism affects nearly 27 million people according to Cedars-Sinai Hospital and is hallmarked by slowing down the entire metabolic process, leaving sufferers with symptoms such as low energy and weight gain.

Mrs. Magnotta hopes to use the America’s Fit Mrs. system as a megaphone to encourage those with thyroid issues to get fit and take control of their own health! Cori is a certified FXP Hoop Fitness instructor and uses hooping as a staple in her own fitness regimen. The FXP Hula Hoop System is a holistic exercise program that blends cardio hooping and strength training with high intensity interval exercises based on elements of Pilates, Yoga, and Ballet Barre.

The FXP Hula Hoop is precisely designed, sized and weighted to help users shed pounds, lose inches and sculpt their entire body; all while smiling and doing a beloved childhood activity. Cori’s love for hula hooping began and was cultivated as a teen pageant contestant with hula hooping as her very unconventional talent choice that earned her the Miss Connecticut Teen title.

More than 20 years later, she is still celebrating and sharing her excitement for hula hooping and hopes you’ll come see what all the hoopla is about! Cori is offering a Hoop Fitness class on Tuesdays from 7:00-7:45 PM starting January 12th 2016 at Inner Circle Family Martial Arts Center in Portland, CT. Registration is required, cost for the class is $60 for a 6 week session or $12 drop-in rate. Price includes FXP Hoop rental.
