General Assembly to Open 15th Campus in Denver

GA to Expand and Diversify Denver’s Tech Talent Pipeline Through Education Programming in Data, Design and Technology

DENVER, CO / ACCESSWIRE / January 11, 2016 / General Assembly
(GA), the global education institution specializing in 21st century
skills, will expand to Denver, Colorado. Located near Union Station in
the LoDo district, the GA Denver campus will start offering programming
in data, design, business and technology in February 2016.

“We are excited to become a part of the vibrant community in LoDo and
greater Denver area as we support a growing community of learners and
creators,” said Anna Lindow, General Manager, Campus Education and
Operations at General Assembly. “With millennials outnumbering
baby boomers and more than 20 Fortune 1000 companies alongside a
burgeoning startup scene in the Denver area, the Mile High City is ideal
for General Assembly to make an impact.”

Demand for 21st century skills – such as product management, digital
marketing and mobile development – have greatly increased over the past
several years. According to a joint study
from GA and Burning Glass Technologies, Denver is one of the top U.S.
cities with the highest concentration of open opportunities for
individuals with these skills.

Starting in February, GA Denver will offer events, workshops and
short-form classes on a range of relevant topics in data, design,
business and technology such as “Programming for non-programmers,” “Intro to Adobe Photoshop,” and “Intro to the Denver Startup Community.”
Full-time and part-time programs will begin in May. GA’s long form
programming is structured with an education-to-employment approach,
setting students up for success with the most in-demand skills in web
and mobile development, data science, product management and digital
marketing.
