Nate’s Barber Shop Celebrates 16th Anniversary

January 15, 2016 – – Men’s barber, Nate’s Barber Shop, occupying a retail space in Caribou Corner mall, celebrates their 16th year in business.

Nate’s Barber Shop offers affordable men’s haircuts, boy’s haircuts and shaves, all with no chemicals. They also provide straight-edge neck shaves. Walk-ins are welcome and encouraged.

Like many men these days, you likely have your hair cut at a unisex chain salon, like Greatclips. The problem is that many of the people who work at salons are not trained barbers. They’re cosmetologists. The difference between the two can spell the difference between a sub-par haircut and a great one.

A barber, like owner Nate Jenson, is trained to cut with clippers, the main tool in cutting a man’s hair. Cosmetologists, on the other hand, are trained to use scissors. Their training is also geared towards catering to women’s hair. They become experts in styling, coloring, and perming — things a man has no need for. Unlike cosmetologists, a barber can employ the clippers with finesse.

“Our casual setting and experienced barbers are sure to please even the most haircut-averse guy. We have ESPN on monitor and no one will ask you what to do about their relationship,” says owner Nate Jensen.

Nate’s Barber Shop fosters a community akin to the barber shops of old, there is conversation about sports, current events, and family. In between the banter, jokes are told and laughs are had. And everyone is involved: the barbers, the customers getting their haircut, and the customers waiting to get their haircut. Adding to the enjoyment is that a variety of men take part in the conversation; young, old, and middle-aged join in the mix.

Nate’s Barber Shop is regularly reorganized and their store offers a full assortment of American Crew hair products.

American Crew hair products include top-of-the-line shampoos, conditioners, hair gels, grooming creams and sprays, lotions, shave oils and creams, shave gels, post-shave cooling lotions, fragrances, and moisturizing body wash products.

“We take the time to make sure you get what you want, we’re a traditional barber shop and our guys aren’t too old to know what they are doing.”
