ESL Classes Now Offered At Ecole De Langue Canado-Americaine Du Mali
January 15, 2016 – – The Ecole de Langue Canado-Americaine du Mali, based in Bamako, Mali, is proud to announce that they are launching new English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for people in Mali. The classes are set to start on January 25. The school is one of the best language schools in Mali and provides high quality courses at an affordable price. This has been greatly appreciated with Mali being one of the poorest countries in world. As such the organization is helping the country, which is a former French colony, and giving its citizens more opportunities around the world.
Mahmoud Sidibe Qadri from the Ecole de Langue Canado-Americaine du Mali says: “Mali is one of the poorest countries in the world, with frighteningly high levels of infant mortality. The recent political and religious instability has not helped things either. We want to bring this country back to its former glory and give its people the opportunity to be independent once and for all.”
The language-centre recognizes that Mali is a complex country. While French is the officially spoken language, various tribes speak many other languages. And although Bambara, Fulani, Songhai and Touareg are the most commonly spoken African languages, at least 30 languages are also spoken throughout the country. As a former French colony, French is taught in schools from an early age, while English is still uncommon. The school hopes that by introducing English to more of the population it will enable them to achieve better economic and social development.
The school offers one of the very few ESL courses in Mali and they have been very positively received. In fact, the courses are so popular that people from outside Bamako, the capital of the country, are asking for ways to gain access to them. The school leaders believe that this is due to their combined experience and approachable way of teaching. “We only accept the most highly educated American and Canadian teachers into our program, so we can guarantee the quality,” says Mahmoud Sidibe Qadri. “We now serve hundreds of Malian students each year and we are so proud of everything that they have accomplished. We will turn Mali back around, even if it is one person at a time.”
