Advanced Kit-Sized Tourniquet Shown To Be Effective At Stemming Major Arterial Bleeding

March 07, 2016 – – The SWAT-T (Stretch Wrap And Tuck – Tactical) compact tourniquet, now included in First Aid Shoppe’s ResQue 1st Trauma Kit With SWAT-Tourniquet, has been shown to stem arterial bleeding as well as more bulky tourniquets. The SWAT Tactical Tourniquet is small for easy stowage, and deploys to a full-function tourniquet. It can be placed high in either the armpit of groin area to lock down and stem the flow of arterial bleeding to a major wound.
