A Category 4 storm, Hurricane Harvey did extensive damage to the state of Texas, causing $180 billion dollars in damage. Approximately 13 million individuals in five states were impacted. Sadly, 82 of these individuals lost their lives. What made this storm so challenging was it made landfall three separate times over a six day period, and 1/3 of Houston was underwater at one point. As a result, numerous families are now contending with high moisture levels and other issues in the home, and Air National remains on call to help these individuals.

“Air National was in the heart of the disaster of the flooding from Hurricane Harvey, our offices and many homes of our employees were flooded and much was lost. Before taking care of our own homes, we were out helping others with their needs. Moisture levels and comfort within a home are important. Air National has been in service for years, and we were helping before, during, and substantially after Harvey. We’re local and want to help build our community back up,” Karl Sakocious, spokesperson for Air National, explains.

Hurricane Harvey damaged more than 200,000 homes. Of this number, 12,700 homes were a complete loss. For those who still have a home, considerable work may be needed to restore the home to its prior condition. Many homeowners in the area continue to reside in hotel rooms or housing provided by FEMA as they wait for this work to be done.

“We are located in Spring, Texas and are fully aware of the damage to the area. We haven’t backed down from taking care of service calls, as we are committed to helping rebuild the community and making our fellow neighbors comfortable,” Sakocious continues.

People often turn to Air National when they are in need of AC Repair in Houston or heating repair Houston. However, the company can be of assistance in numerous other ways. They provide help with furnaces, de-humidifiers, refrigeration and backup generators in Houston. Furthermore, the company works with insulation issues in the home, something every homeowner affected by Hurricane Harvey needs to have checked.

“Any moisture in the home can lead to damage that is not easily visible to the eye. Mold grows in and under insulation, behind walls, under floors and more. A working air conditioning system helps to control moisture levels, as do de-humidifiers. Unfortunately, many homes were without power for an extended period of time. Any time there is a disaster call on Air National. We can be of help in keeping moisture levels under control and more. All a customer needs to do is ask and we’ll do everything we can to help,” Sakocious declares.
