Airline Safeguarding Lives by Canceling Orders from Boeing, Avers Logistics Exec
March 27, 2019 – – Augusto Beato, CEO of Portland SEO, lauded Garuda Air for safeguarding the lives of its passengers by canceling its order of 49 of Boeing’s 737 Max 8 jets.
“It’d prudent for the airline to cancel the order following the fatal crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia that involved Boeing’s new model aircraft,” said Beato, who is in the logistics business while also a digital content specialist. He may be reached through the Portland SEO website through this link.
The deal with Boeing that Garuda Air, Indonesia’s flag carrier, wants to cancel is worth $4.9 billion.
The airline had ordered 50 of the aircraft in 2014 and had received a plane last year. So far, it has paid Boeing about $26 million.
Garuda was among the numerous airlines around the world that grounded their Max 8 jets the crash of an Ethiopian Airlines flight this month that killed all 157 people aboard. Last Oct. 29, 189 people died when the Max 8 of Lion Air, another Indonesian private carrier, crashed.
According to Garuda, operating the Max 8 jet will harm their business as passengers inquire about the type of plane they will board. Passengers have lost their lost trust and confidence in the aircraft.
But above all, it is the airline’s duty to safeguard the lives of its passengers.
All is not lost for Boeing. Garuda, which will meet with Boeing representatives next week in canceling the order, plans to switch its orders to another Boeing plane.
