Anti bullying book ‘The Hill’ received 5 stars from San Francisco Book Review
Anti-bullying book “The Hill” receives 5-star review from the San Francisco Book Review. An excellent book to help teach children about bullying and how to overcome it.
Sacramento, United States – November 14, 2016 /PressCable/ —
The Hill is the story of Jermaine the giraffe who thinks it’s fun to knock down Grant the ant’s anthill, but then tries to knock down another anthill belonging to Grant’s mean little brother, who organizes all the other ants to bite Jermaine in retaliation. Grant steps in to stop the attack and teaches Jermaine a lesson in forgiveness and kindness.
“Again! was the first thing my son said after reading The Hill the first time. I read this book three times in a row to my 3-year old twins. Both my son and daughter were easily able to pick up on the underlying message of bullying and being nice, said Tarina Deaton from GoodReads”.
San Francisco Book Review’s Tarina Speidel says “The Hill” is suitable for younger children as well as older children, especially those learning concepts of sharing, being nice, hurt feelings, and bullying. Parents can easily relate the message of the book to situations in their child’s life and help them relate it to Jermaine and Grant.”
Author Jessica Crews explains “I wondered, to start with, if I should even publish it; I wondered if I was making a mistake. It blew my mind when it got outstanding reviews. I was tickled to death to see that people actually liked MY book! My hope is that publishing my books will have a positive impression on children and that they will take the message to heart.”
“The Hill” can be purchased from Amazon HERE, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the author’s foundation, No Hill Too High, which helps provide music therapy to individuals with special needs. “Its always great when a book can benefit, more than just entertain, the reader, and help teach a lesson in an entertaining way and support a meaningful cause as well,” said City Book Review publisher Heidi Komlofske-Rojek.
As a child Jessica Crews survived a car accident that left her in temporarily in a coma and then required brain surgery to stop seizures caused by the accident. The surgery left Jessica with severe amnesia that caused ongoing learning problems. In spite of all that, Jessica has earned a Master of Arts in Special Education and currently works as a high school teacher in South Boston, VA. In 2014, she founded a non-profit corporation to provide therapy to those with a wide variety of special needs ranging from dementia to autism. Jessica feels like this is God’s calling for her, and No Hill Too High, Inc. is her passion!
