As Talcum Powder Lawsuit Filings Mount, 3-D Models Offer Insights To Ovarian Cancer

The article states that a team of University of Wisconsin-Madison researchers is developing new tools for understanding how ovarian cancer develops in women by using technologies related to 3-D printing. A $2 million grant from the National Institutes of Health will assist the researchers’ plan to use technology they’ve developed on the UW-Madison campus to develop images of tissues from surgical patients. The small models of collagen will then be inserted into mice in order to observe how the tumors develop.
