Andrew utilizes the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), which harnesses insights from neuroscience and attachment theory, helping couples replace frustrating patterns of repetitive conflict with new patterns of mutual caretaking and alleviation of distress. Andrew also incorporates brain-based techniques such as EMDR to heal the effects of upsetting or disturbing experiences, including how we were raised, what we’ve seen, how we were treated, and even how things have played out at work. His approach is also informed by CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), mindfulness-based therapy, and other evidence-based practices.
