I opened up my filing cabinet and found the manuscript that I typed up on a portable typewriter with carbon paper and white ink. I decided to write it out all over again on my computer. I finished writing two chapters and the story nose-dived into a whole new realm.”

When asked what inspired her to write this book, Kitty Boyes replied, “I love reading and after reading many hundreds of books, probably many thousands over my lifetime, I wanted to read my book. So I wrote it.” For Boyes, the best part of writing this novel was the amazing feedback from so many happy readers. When asked why she prefers self-publishing her books despite receiving an offer for a publishing contract, Boyes replied “I much prefer fully owning my own work.”
