Aviation Week Network’s MRO Links Joins with AOGsmart to Bring Airplane Maintenance Products and Services Closer to Airlines, OEMs and Third-Party MROs

Alliance creates a quick connection to the products and services needed to keep aircraft off ground

New York, NY – August 24, 2017 – Aviation Week Network’s MRO Links, the digital marketplace where airline and MRO buyers find thousands of commercial aviation aftermarket products and services, announced a marketing alliance with AOGsmart, a new digital platform connecting buyers and sellers during “Aircraft on Ground” situations. Now through a seamless connection between MRO Links and the AOGsmart website, airlines, OEMs and third-party MRO operations can quickly access products and services for all their maintenance needs – whether scheduled or unscheduled.

AOGsmart’s tool reduces AOG downtime and all associated costs by quickly and reliably providing single point access to AOG support providers. The tool allows users to view providers’ availability and proximity, and to monitor key AOG logistics, including time and delivery needs.

“An average-size airline spends $8-million per year dealing with AOG situations. Our mission is to help airlines, OEMs and third-party MRO operations find the products and services they need for the airlines to stay up in the air and dramatically reduce those costs,” said Freddie Ilouno, AOGsmart’s CEO.

“Our MRO Links platform, in collaboration with AOGsmart, is now enhanced with an AOG category, making MRO Links an even more powerful tool to quickly and easily locate products and services,” said Greg Hamilton, president of Aviation Week Network.

The alliance will provide benefits for both buyers and sellers. Airline buyers will access AOGsmart.com, Inside MRO digital edition, plus daily news updates and weekly featured product updates. The supplier community will access AOGsmart.com, and gain discounts for their MRO Links company and product profile. This amounts to a winning combination of generating leads year-round for suppliers and reduced downtime for aircraft.

“With a common goal of reducing costs and downtime for aircraft and airlines, we are pleased to align with Aviation Week Network’s MRO Links to ensure seamless access for an airline’s AOG needs,” added Ilouno.
