Bail Bondsmen in Greene County Accompany Alabama Governor Kay Ivey for Signing of New Bail Bond Regulatory Act

September 30, 2019 – – Eutaw, Ala. – Alabama Bail Bonds, a local agency of bail bondsmen in Greene County Alabama, has worked closely with The Alabama Bail Bond Association and Representative Chris England to help push new legislation in action. The new law aimed to regulate and educate bail bondsmen and Fugitive recovery agents in Alabama was signed into law this summer after months of legislative review.

Jennifer Collard, of Alabama Bail Bonds, attended the bill signing and was joined by, Rep. Chris England, as well as the President and Vice President of the Alabama Bail Bond Association.

“We are very excited about this bill. Is been a long time coming. For years we have had people coming into our industry that had no knowledge of the bail bond industry, this legislation will change that,” Ruby Collard, owner of Alabama Bail Bonds states.

The new law creates a Professional Bail Bond Board which in previous years, did not exist. The new board will serve the purpose of regulating the licenses as well as implement training classes, require yearly training, and give out penalties to those not in compliance with the new laws if necessary. Previously, licenses were overseen by the state Department of Insurance which did not offer training for new bail bond agents in Greene County.
