Bender Barware Set to Launch its Own Brand of Stainless Steel Whiskey Stones
Bender Barware will launch its own line of stainless steel whiskey stones. With the dog days of summer bearing down, this Raleigh company comes up with a solution to rapidly melting ice that dilutes the flavor of libations as we try to cool off.
Raleigh, United States – August 30, 2016 /MarketersMedia/ —
Bender Barware, a new company based in the downtown area of Raleigh, North Carolina specializes in affordable, top of the line barware products for the professional mixologist as well as the home bartender.
After talking with hundreds of bartenders and wait staff, they learned that one of the biggest complaints about any drink is the watered down taste after about 15 minutes. With this in mind, Bender Barware began researching different ways to solve this problem. They experimented with soapstone, plastic and stainless steel. They found that soapstone did keep your drink cool but affected the taste of the liquid. And although plastic ice cubes were very inexpensive they did not work as well as soapstone. Stainless steel on the other hand, kept the test drinks at a cool even temperature the longest and did not affect the taste of the drinks.
Once the company settled on stainless steel, they made sure the whiskey stones were made of 18/18 stainless steel and of food grade quality. They found a superior freezing gel to go in the center of the stainless steel ice cube to further improve the amount of time the drinks stayed cool.
Bender Barware says they also chose the stainless steel whiskey stones because they are eco-friendly and can be used over and over. The stones just need washing in warm water and after they dry simply place them in the freezer. After a few hours, the stones to get cold enough to keep your drink chilled without diluting it.
Bender Barware’s whiskey stones come in a set of 4 stones which are 1 x 1 x 1 inch each, packed in a plastic container for your freezer and an additional box for gift giving.
Amy Poss, the sister part of this brother-sister team says, “I have lived in the south my whole life and these whiskey stones are the first thing I’ve come across that combats melting ice and dilution of my favorite drinks. My husband and kids use them and I even put them in my wine.”
Bender Barware’s stainless steel whiskey stones will be available at Amazon in a couple of weeks.
